Maison Baguettes is a busy bakery in a 1907 house in Vanier. You can enjoy a coffee and pastry or muffin in the front of this charming shop or savour homemade soup, sandwiches, chili and sweet buns in the bright relaxing dining area. On cooler days you can even settle down and sample a slice of freshly baked date cake with brown sugar icing.in front of one of the warm fireplaces.

Some of the Maison Baguettes recipes are now on-line too.

Amos Mbenoun first opened Maison Baguettes in 1997 in a fruit and vegetable store on St. Laurent Blvd. The superior quality of his baked goods spread so fast that the bakery out grew this location and moved to Bank Street in 2003. Popularity and the need for even more space necessitated the move of the bakery in August 2005 to its current home at 381 Montreal Rd. Amos and his wife Donna have enjoyed seeing their business grow with their daily production of breads including baguettes, muffins, rolls, sweet breads and cakes. Amos has been in the bakery business almost all his life as his father had a bakery in Doula, Cameroon, where Amos received his training.
